What local SEO costs, and what you get

Prices in this industry are unclear on purpose. This page explains the levels and what each one includes.

Updated September 2026

The short answer

Local SEO is sold in three levels. A one-time cleanup corrects the listing and stops there. A monthly service does the work each week and reports it. An enterprise service adds a website, content and paid ads. Compare the task list and the report, not the price. Ask who owns your listing, and ask how you can leave.

The three levels

A one-time cleanup

A company corrects your categories, your services, your description, your photos and your business information on other websites. Then the work stops.

This fits a business with a listing that nobody has touched for years. It does not hold a position, because competitors continue to work each week.

Monthly management

The company does the work each week: posts, photos, review requests, review replies, corrections, and a report. This is the level that most local businesses need.

Ask for the weekly task list in writing. The price means nothing without it.

Full service

Listing work, a new website, content each month, and often paid ads. This fits a business with a sales team and a budget for growth.

At this level, ask which part of the money goes to the listing. In many contracts, most of it goes to ads.

How to compare two offers

Put two proposals beside each other and compare these six items. Price is the last one.

  1. The weekly task list. What happens each week, in writing.
  2. The report. What you receive, how often, and whether it shows your position across the area.
  3. Ownership. Who owns the listing and the website when the contract ends.
  4. The exit. The contract length and the way to cancel.
  5. The people. Who does the work, and who answers your questions.
  6. The price. Now compare it, with the five items above in view.

What the work is worth to you

Use your own numbers, not an industry average.

  1. Take your average job value.
  2. Take the share of calls that become jobs.
  3. Decide the number of extra calls each month that would make the cost worth paying.

Our missed calls calculator does the arithmetic. If a service costs $995 each month, and your average job is $600 with a 50 percent close rate, the service pays for itself with about four extra calls each month.

What we charge

We have one plan. Super LS costs $995 each month. It includes the full listing cleanup in month one, then weekly updates, photos, review help, corrections on other websites, and a report each week with a map scan and screenshots.

There is no contract and no setup fee. You can cancel at any time, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

The exact task list is on our what is included page.

Why very low prices usually fail

A service at a very low monthly price cannot pay for weekly human work. Three things usually happen.

  • The work becomes automatic posts with no photos of your jobs.
  • The report shows views, because the other numbers do not move.
  • Nobody answers your reviews, and nobody corrects your business information.

A low price is not a problem. A low price with a long contract and no task list is a problem.

Common questions

Is local SEO worth the cost for a small business?

Compare the monthly cost with your average job value and your close rate. Many trades need only a few extra jobs each month to cover a monthly service.

Should I pay for a one-time cleanup or a monthly service?

A cleanup corrects the listing. A monthly service holds the position. Many businesses start with a cleanup and move to monthly work when competitors respond.

Do I need a contract?

No. Month-to-month terms are common now. A long contract protects the agency, not you.

Why do prices vary so much?

The work behind the price varies. Some companies do weekly human work. Others send automatic posts. Ask for the task list.
